Course overview
This course is designed for candidates who are involved in management or supervisory roles to ensure compliance with working at height regulations. The course provides detailed knowledge of the application of the hierarchy of risk, selection of working at height methods in relation to the hierarchy of risk and work at height supervision. The course provides an outline of the legislation, equipment standards, marking, inspection, record keeping and maintenance and gives an overview of the whole process of a safe and systematic approach to working at Height.
Course structure
1 day classroom learning, presentation and practical demonstrations.
Assessment by means of multi-choice question paper.
Course content
Theory
Working at height legislation, working at height categories, hierarchy of measures, equipment legislation, equipment control, records and maintenance, selection and planning of working at height method, selection and safe use of equipment, risk assessment Hazard analysis, fall and impact forces, rescue provision.
