Course overview
The course designed to introduce candidates who are actively involved in the control of working at height equipment to the requirements of the appropriate regulations. The course provides an outline of the legislation, equipment
standards, equipment selection, marking, inspection, record keeping and maintenance.

1 day classroom theory learning and presentation.
Assessment by means of multi-choice question paper.

● Legislation that covers the issue selection and maintenance of working at height PPE.
● BS 8437 Code of practice for selection, use and maintenance of persona fall protection systems and equipment for use in the workplace.
● Health and safety at work at 1974
● Lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations 1998 (LOLER)
● Personal protective equipment at work regulation 1992
● Provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998 (PUWER)
● Working at height regulations 2005
● Practical Inspection of Working at Height PPE, and record keeping.
